Mt. Mitchell from Big Sandy Lake

In 1999 I hiked into the Wind River Range on a commission to paint Mt. Mitchell for a great grandaughter of Finis Mitchell, the range's famous "Man of the Mountains". The spectacular sheer face of the mountain from Lonesome lake was the picture they wanted, bu I also painted this gentler side of it from Big Sandy Lake, in the early morning's glow of color.

Original Watercolor 10" x 14"...$250 framed.
